Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge (HKSEC) is a social venture startup competition that aims to incubate and accelerate social enterprise startups led by young people. As the world’s leading program of its kind, HKSEC has been evolving into a consolidated platform for social entrepreneurial education, training, and startup incubation for young, aspiring social entrepreneurs. Since 2007, more than 11,700 participants from 233 academic institutions have participated in the Programme, generating over 2,180 social business ideas. As a “greenhouse” for social enterprise startups led by youth, HKSEC has incubated a wide range of impactful social businesses that have made tangible contributions to society.
