Mr. WONG Sheung Man Johnathan

Jonathan Wong is a seasoned international business expert with over 20 years of experience in fast-paced industries. His career began with an impressive 11-year tenure at STAR TV, one of Asia’s largest satellite TV networks owned by News Corporation Ltd. During his time as Associate Vice President of Business Development, Jonathan spearheaded numerous multi-million-dollar projects across the Asia Pacific, launched TV channels on various platforms, and led the groundbreaking STAR TV satellite direct-to-home (DTH) service.

Jonathan continued to blaze trails as the Director of Channel Distribution at Celestial Pictures, where he launched the world’s first global Chinese movie channel. His career path further included significant roles in Business Development, PR, and Marketing at esteemed organizations such as NDS (now Synamedia), the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, Al Jazeera Media Network, and MX1, a subsidiary of SES, the largest satellite company in the world.

Currently, Jonathan serves as Project Director at The Centre of Entrepreneurship at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Trainer and Mentor at The University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation. Additionally, he holds the role of Chief Strategy Officer at TeenShare Ltd. and Talentier Ltd.

A frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, Jonathan provides training and consultancy to both public and private sector organizations. He also mentors and consults for social enterprises and startup businesses. Previously, he dedicated his expertise as a Business Consultant at the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, focusing on social projects.
